Financial Manager

About the role

RMB is seeking a Financial Manager to provide operational financial direction across business units. The role focuses on implementing and enhancing accounting workflow systems, ensuring robust financial controls, and delivering statutory, regulatory, and management reporting for the corporate bank.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the overall area budget, incorporating operational plans and long‑term financial resource requirements.
• Present business cases for financial resources and analyse implementation plans against forecasted budgets.
• Control expenditures, authorise spending, and enforce financial regulations.
• Build relationships to manage expectations, share knowledge, and secure stakeholder buy‑in.
• Maintain a customer‑centric approach, enhancing service and product offerings.
• Implement corporate governance, compliance, integrity, and ethics policies; identify and manage risk exposure.
• Stay updated on industry risk‑management best practices and legislative changes.
• Drive innovative best‑practice ideas, participate in specialist communities, and represent the organisation at group and industry forums.
• Lead strategic projects, change management, and platform integration across operations.
