Financial Manager

About the role

Latitude Resource is seeking a commercially‑minded Financial Manager to lead the finance function of its manufacturing business in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will partner with senior leadership to drive financial performance, improve reporting and analytics, and influence strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance department, setting strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure IFRS compliance, oversee statutory reporting, annual audits and tax compliance.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and operational controls across manufacturing operations.
• Drive FP&A activities: annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, monthly executive reporting packs.
• Produce financial models, scenario analyses and identify risks, trends and commercial opportunities.
• Oversee product costing, inventory management, gross‑margin reporting and working‑capital optimisation.
• Partner with the Managing Director and executive team on strategic planning, capital allocation and KPI dashboard development.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
• Demonstrated expertise in IFRS, financial governance and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience presenting financial information to executive management.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team while collaborating across functions.
