Financial Manager

About the role

The Financial Manager will be responsible for the financial reporting and control of a cluster, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strategic alignment. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role combines leadership of finance staff with the development and oversight of financial systems and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage finance sub‑team, ensuring timely delivery of tasks, budgets and quality standards.
• Develop, implement and monitor strategic financial plans in partnership with the Managing Director.
• Design, maintain and improve financial systems, processes and policies to support reporting, planning and control.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations and group policies.
• Oversee accurate technical and cluster financial accounting, tax calculations and inter‑company processing.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate supplier rates and evaluate complex accounting transactions.
• Prepare and deliver timely, accurate financial reports, forecasts and budgets to the Group.

Required profile

• CA(SA) accreditation.
• Minimum five years post‑articles experience.
• Proven experience managing finance teams and implementing succession planning.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls and corporate governance.
• Ability to analyse financial data, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and supervise accounting staff.
