Financial Manager

About the role

The Financial Manager will lead the financial reporting and control functions for a cluster, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strategic alignment with the company’s objectives. This senior position works closely with the Managing Director and Group Finance to drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor strategic financial plans in partnership with senior leadership.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, forecasts, budgets and regulatory reports.
• Maintain and improve financial systems, processes and internal controls across the cluster.
• Manage finance staff, including succession planning, performance development and resource allocation.
• Ensure timely tax calculations, payments and compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Facilitate inter‑company processing and support Group finance reporting to the Board.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate supplier rates and drive financial efficiency.

Required profile

• CA(SA) accreditation with at least five years of post‑articles experience.
• Proven experience in managing finance teams and delivering results on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls and corporate governance.
• Ability to communicate financial strategy clearly to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
