Financial Director

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Financial Director to join the executive leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will shape financial strategy, strengthen governance and drive sustainable growth across a multi‑site organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Provide strategic financial insight to support business growth and operational excellence.
• Partner with executive and operational leaders to improve profitability, margins and return on investment.
• Drive financial governance, risk management, compliance and internal controls.
• Oversee annual financial statements, management reporting and key performance indicators.
• Manage cash flow, capital allocation and investment decisions.
• Support acquisitions, business optimisation and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing finance team.
• Promote continuous improvement through technology, automation and data‑driven decision making.
• Build strong relationships with auditors, financial institutions and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Extensive senior finance leadership experience, preferably in a complex, multi‑site or group environment.
• Strong commercial, strategic and operational business acumen.
• Proven track record of improving financial performance and business outcomes.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to operate strategically while staying close to the business.
