Financial Controller – Remote (South Africa) for UK Dental Group

About the role

Take ownership of financial control, reporting and cash management for a growing UK private dental group. The role supports practice profitability and commercial decision‑making while working remotely from South Africa (09:00–17:00 UK time).

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L, balance‑sheet and cash‑flow reports for the whole organisation and individual practices.
• Analyse variances against budget, forecast and prior‑year performance and communicate risks and opportunities to senior management.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, payroll coordination and ensure robust financial controls.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts and cash‑flow projections, updating them based on trading performance.
• Support the Finance Director with statutory accounts, VAT returns and liaising with external auditors.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a qualified accountant in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior finance role.
• At least 1–2 years of UK‑based finance experience and an ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Xero experience and strong background in management accounts and month‑end close.
