Financial Controller – Remote (South Africa) for Flex‑Living Platform

About the role

Fuse is Europe’s fastest‑growing flex‑living operator, combining real estate, hospitality and technology to create community‑driven homes. As a remote Financial Controller based in South Africa, you will own the financial reporting, budgeting and compliance for a multi‑entity group operating across several European markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly reporting for entities in five European countries and consolidate group‑level financial statements.
• Own the annual budgeting process, track actuals versus budget, and perform margin and profitability analysis per city, building and department.
• Maintain rolling cash‑flow forecasts, manage receivables, and ensure accurate payment flows under master leases and management agreements.
• Automate invoicing, reconciliation workflows and reporting templates, integrating data from PMS, banking and accounting tools.
• Coordinate tax filings, VAT submissions and audits with local accounting partners, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong internal controls.
• Support onboarding of new properties, entities and cities, preparing owner statements as management agreements go live.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in controlling, audit or financial operations.
• Strong analytical, structured and reliable work style.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, international environment with an ownership mindset.
• Based in South Africa and able to work remotely on European business hours.
