Financial Controller – Property Sector

About the role

A leading organisation in the property sector is seeking a qualified CA(SA) to take ownership of its finance function in Johannesburg North. You will drive financial performance, optimise reporting processes and support strategic decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full finance function, including monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow processes.
• Drive financial controls and continuous process‑improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders.
• Analyse performance and provide strategic recommendations.
• Maintain and optimise MDA property management systems.
• Mentor junior finance team members and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification (essential) with 3‑5 years post‑articles experience.
• Property industry experience preferred; MDA experience mandatory.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and deliver accurate business insights.
