Financial Controller – Pretoria

About the role

Our client, a fast‑paced paste‑production company, is looking for a detail‑oriented Financial Controller to support the Financial Director. The role involves financial administration, reporting, reconciliations, budgeting assistance, and ensuring compliance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and managing financial reports and monthly management accounts.
• Process and review financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash‑flow reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and support internal and external audits.
• Liaise with various departments to provide accurate financial information.
• Maintain filing systems and assist the Financial Manager with daily operations.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, guaranteeing data integrity.

Required profile

• Relevant BCom degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, with completed articles.
• 2–3 years experience in a Financial Controller or accounting‑related role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong numerical/analytical ability.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in Afrikaans (essential).
• Male or female candidates welcome.
