Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting and financial activities for Red & Yellow Creative School of Business. You will ensure accurate financial records, timely student invoicing, proper payment allocation, and provide reliable financial information to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end closing, preparing balance sheet and income statement reviews.
• Perform monthly bank and loan reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register with complete and accurate records.
• Prepare journals, accruals, provisions, and reclassification entries.
• Ensure revenue recognition aligns with institutional policies.
• Extract weekly revenue reports and analyse data for financial planning.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements and audit documentation.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Track departmental expenditure against budgets and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor operational costs and contribute to EBITDA improvement initiatives.
• File VAT and tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage student accounts on Salesforce, oversee invoicing and collection processes.
