Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to lead daily financial operations, ensure accurate records and support strong financial governance across Africrest’s diverse property portfolio. The role sits between the Head of Finance and operational finance teams, providing leadership and accountability for the Group’s finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end management, control and performance of the finance function across the Group.
• Maintain high‑quality financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
• Provide leadership to Finance Managers, Financial Accountants and the Creditors function.
• Implement, embed and continuously improve robust processes, clear ownership and consistent standards.
• Ensure operational effectiveness, quality and a strong control environment within the finance team.

Required profile

• Excellent team player with strong attention to detail.
• Proven experience in managing finance operations in a medium‑to‑large organization.
• Ability to drive governance, process improvement and performance reporting.
