Financial Controller – Costing and Inventory

About the role

The company is a fast‑growing pharmaceutical business with market‑leading OTC brands. It seeks a Financial Controller to own standard costing across two manufacturing sites, manage inventory control, and oversee import and export of finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop standard costing for the Midrand and Cape Town plants.
• Control inventory levels, monitor stock movements and ensure accurate reporting.
• Manage import and export processes for finished products.
• Provide strategic and analytical insights to senior management on a daily basis.
• Communicate financial information effectively across all organisational levels.

Required profile

• BCom or BCom Hons with CGMA or CIMA qualification.
• Minimum five years of costing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Management/strategic level experience.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, proactive mindset and teamwork orientation.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is advantageous.

Required skills

• Costing and standard cost management.
• Inventory control and stock reconciliation.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations for finished goods.
