Financial Consultant (JG7) – Cape Town

About the role

Glacier by Sanlam is seeking a Financial Consultant (JG7) to support financial analysis, reporting and operational processes in Cape Town. The role focuses on daily money‑market and client payment activities, SAP journal processing and procure‑to‑pay support while ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily money‑market transactions and client payment processing.
• Review and maintain supporting documentation, process SAP journals and clear entries.
• Update the AGT broker spreadsheet and create paper‑trail records for customers and clients.
• Support Procure‑to‑Pay by creating new suppliers in SAP, maintaining master data and processing invoices, purchase requisitions, orders and service entry sheets.
• Prepare cost‑centre reports, administer credit‑card reconciliation and handle ad‑hoc financial and administrative tasks.
• Assist in the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines and protocols.
• Carry out compliance monitoring activities and support organisational risk‑management processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of managerial experience.
• Degree or diploma with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Strong ability to manage complexity, ensure accountability and optimise work processes.
• Knowledge of policy and regulation interpretation.
• Experience with costing and risk‑management techniques.

Required skills

• SAP financial modules.
• Data collection and analysis.
