Financial Compliance Specialist – Automotive Retail

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Compliance Specialist to join our Sandton, Johannesburg team. Reporting to the Head of Group Legal & Compliance, you will execute day‑to‑day regulatory compliance across our multi‑brand dealership network.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain FICA, FIC, AML due‑diligence records and support goAML reporting.
• Audit dealership deal files for F&I and regulatory compliance, flagging gaps and tracking remediation.
• Manage F&I competency logs, RE5/RE1 accreditation records and ensure timely renewal.
• Ensure FSCA showroom‑floor licence, display and disclosure compliance at every branch.
• Maintain POPIA records, PAIA manual and breach register; support the Group Information Officer.
• Coordinate statutory filings, CIPC registrations and assist with board‑pack and minute‑book logistics.
• Oversee the compliance calendar and conduct regular on‑site compliance checks.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in law, compliance, finance, BCom or paralegal studies.
• 3–5 years of compliance experience, preferably in motor retail, F&I or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of FICA, FIC, AML, POPIA and related South African regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with regular travel to branches.
