Financial Assistant

About the role

Nursing Services of SA and Ambition 24 Hours are South African nursing placement businesses operating within the A24 Group. They place approximately 500 nursing candidates weekly. The Financial Assistant will provide hands‑on support across credit control, accounts payable and payroll administration while taking on additional tasks as capacity demands.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with collections follow‑up on outstanding nursing client accounts.
• Generate and send debtor statements and allocate remittances.
• Escalate overdue accounts and maintain accurate debtor records.
• Capture and process supplier invoices on Pastel Partner (DBit).
• Prepare creditor reconciliations and resolve supplier queries.
• Assist with payment runs.
• Support the payroll team with weekly nursing payroll processing as required.
• Check timesheets and verify basic accuracy.
• Provide cover and support across the finance team during capacity gaps.
• Assist with month‑end processes and ad‑hoc finance tasks as directed.

Required profile

• Relevant finance or accounting qualification (Diploma or equivalent).
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar finance support role.
• Experience with Pastel Partner or Pastel Payroll is advantageous.
• Exposure to credit control or debtor management.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Strong numeracy and data accuracy.
