Financial Assistant / Bookkeeper – Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)

About the role

Our client seeks a bilingual Financial Assistant/Bookkeeper to support the Head of Finance and the business owner. The role is based in Pretoria East, inside Woodhill Golf Estate, and requires immediate availability.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and reconcile bank transactions throughout the day.
• Issue sales orders and invoices, ensuring debtor data accuracy.
• Process creditor invoices, perform reconciliations and validate pricing.
• Handle order processing, tracking and reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile various information sheets and electronic/paper filing systems.
• Load payments to the bank and submit order documentation via WhatsApp groups.
• Provide secretarial and ad‑hoc support to the Head of Finance and the owner.

Required profile

• Matric with high marks in mathematics, preferably with an accounting focus.
• Financial diploma preferred.
• More than 5 years’ experience in a similar finance/bookkeeping role.
• Fluent in both English and Afrikaans.

Required skills

• Sage One (mandatory).
• Microsoft Excel and Word (mandatory).
• Monday.com (advantageous).
• Proficient use of a MacBook.

What we offer

• Salary: R12 000 per month.
