Financial Adviser – Sandton

About the role

Sanlam Life Ltd is seeking a Financial Adviser to provide professional financial advice, planning and product solutions to new and existing clients in Sandton. The role focuses on building long‑term relationships, generating sustainable business, and delivering compliant, ethical advice that supports the growth of the Sanlam brand.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored financial advice, conduct comprehensive fact‑finding and needs analysis, and present suitable financial solutions to clients.
• Generate new business through networking, prospecting, social media marketing and referrals, while nurturing existing client relationships.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including proper disclosures, documentation, and adherence to Treating Customers Fairly principles.
• Achieve revenue targets, activity quotas, and brand promotion goals as set by the distribution strategy.
• Monitor client portfolios, respond to client activities such as maturities or cancellations, and provide ongoing service to retain loyalty.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• Successful completion of the FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements and Regulatory Examination, with at least 24 months registration with the FSCA.
• Demonstrated ability to meet production targets, manage budgets, and handle compliance and risk management.
• Strong client relationship management skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
