Financial Adviser – Morningside Durban

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an ambitious Financial Adviser to join its Morningside branch in Durban. You will work directly with clients, providing tailored financial advice and building lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consultative financial advice to individuals and small businesses.
• Identify client needs, propose suitable insurance and investment solutions, and manage the sales process from prospecting to closure.
• Maintain accurate records in the sales software and ensure compliance with FAIS and RE5 regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute sales strategies.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• At least 12 months of experience as a financial adviser in the financial services sector.
• Completion of Long‑term Insurance Class of Business and additional FAIS requirements (e.g., Investments Class of Business, RE5).
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle, and clean criminal and credit records.
• Strong computer literacy, excellent written and verbal communication, and solid planning abilities.

• Ability to analyse and synthesise client information.
• Proficiency with sales data management and sales software.
