Financial Accountant – Pretoria East

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established, forward‑thinking organisation in Pretoria East that seeks a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join its high‑performing finance team. This role offers ownership of the full financial function in a collaborative environment and contributes to the success of a growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Manage VAT, tax and other statutory submissions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end reporting processes.
• Assist with annual audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Analyse financial data and provide meaningful insights to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (advantageous).
• 3–5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Pastel, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of R 400 000 – R 550 000 per year.
