Financial Accountant

About the role

Our client, a diversified farming group operating across multiple entities, is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team at the Krugersdorp head office. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records across the group, support financial reporting and control functions, and provide valuable insights to management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for multiple entities.
• Process and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Prepare management reports and provide meaningful financial insights.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow and support cash flow planning.
• Support internal and external audit processes and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work on‑site at the Krugersdorp head office.
• Advantageous SAIPA/SAICA qualification or progress towards professional certification.
• Previous experience within an agricultural or multi‑entity group environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Experience with digital financial tools.

What we offer

• R50 000 CTC per month.
