Financial Accountant

About the role

Our client, a large and reputable company based in Bellville, is looking for a motivated Financial Accountant to join their in‑office team. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organisation's financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and regulations.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and provide financial analysis.
• Prepare tax filings and assist with audits and internal controls.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure proper transaction recording.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver financial insights.
• Participate in ad‑hoc analysis and project work.

Required profile

• B.Com Accounting / Honours or CA(SA) qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and South African regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage a team of creditors clerks.
• High emotional intelligence and stress tolerance.
