Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that all DBSA financial transactions are recorded accurately, reported in line with accounting standards, and analysed to support business decisions. The role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of the organisation’s financial information and complying with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Record, reconcile and analyse all financial transactions of the DBSA.
• Prepare and present management reports and financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring completeness and accuracy of entries.
• Support information systems and transactional processing related to finance.
• Implement and monitor internal controls and risk‑management procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely financial information and reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Experience in financial accounting, reporting and general ledger management.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
