Financial Accountant

About the role

As a Financial Accountant you will ensure accurate financial reporting across a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment. You will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, month‑end close, and compliance within an international trading context.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, freight invoices, expense claims and general ledger transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain payment documentation.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations, resolve discrepancies and support month‑end/year‑end close, including journals, accruals and FX revaluations.
• Assist with inventory and cost accounting, intercompany reconciliations and fixed‑asset depreciation schedules.
• Monitor receivables/payables, support collection and payment reporting, and handle VAT calculations and returns.
• Prepare management reports, financial analyses and provide support for audits, tax and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification or progress towards ACCA, CPA, CA or CIMA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting controls.
• Experience in trading, commodity, logistics, manufacturing or inventory‑based environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.

What we offer

• Annual salary range of 240 000 – 300 000 AED.
