Financial Accountant

About the role

Join a well‑established wine business as a Financial Accountant and support a dynamic finance team. You will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, stock management and foreign exchange administration.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations and post month‑end journals.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, calculate depreciation and ensure timely year‑end close.
• Process sales commissions, VAT returns and other statutory submissions to SARS.
• Assist with stock takes, stock transfers and resolve discrepancies.
• Record incoming foreign‑fund details on NedTreasury and support forex reporting.
• Provide training to finance colleagues, support BEE audit requirements and assist with external audit queries.
• Liaise with banks on account administration and support payroll system integration when needed.

Required profile

• BCom degree (or equivalent) with SAIPA/CIMA articles completed – professional designation is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in finance and administration within a corporate environment.
• Reliable personal transport.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (experience preferred).
• NedTreasury foreign‑exchange processing.
