Financial Accountant – Automotive Component Manufacturing

About the role

An established automotive component manufacturer in Rosslyn, Pretoria North is seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join its finance team. The role offers a competitive CTC of R650 000‑R700 000 per annum and involves managing treasury functions, reporting, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage treasury activities, including bank reconciliations and payment runs.
• Process weekly payment runs and post receipts/payments in compliance with exchange‑control regulations.
• Monitor outstanding debtors, support collections, and review monthly creditor reconciliations.
• Assist with invoice processing, monthly accruals, provisions, and VAT returns.
• Prepare withholding tax submissions, monthly financial reports, and quarterly reporting packages.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure effective internal control environment.

Required profile

• BCom Degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience covering treasury, debtors & creditors, local & foreign reporting, VAT and tax.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and business economics.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines under pressure, and supervise staff.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• SAP.
