Finance Support – 3‑Month Contract – Durban

About the role

A leading organisation within the manufacturing and construction materials sector is seeking an experienced Finance Support professional to join their Finance team on a 3‑month project contract. The role provides hands‑on financial and administrative support, focusing on reviewing and validating financial information, SAP data, reconciliations, supporting documentation and resolving outstanding items.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyse and validate financial information and transactions captured in SAP against supporting documentation.
• Reconcile data between SAP, project records and spreadsheets, identifying discrepancies, missing information, duplicate entries and incorrect postings.
• Investigate variances, follow up with stakeholders, and track outstanding transactions to completion.
• Maintain accurate project trackers, reconciliation schedules, reports and status updates.
• Assist with general finance administration and ensure supporting documentation is complete and properly maintained.

Required profile

• Matric and BCom / BCom Accounting (or equivalent qualification).
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar finance position.
• Strong reconciliation and financial administration experience.
• Sound knowledge of statutory requirements and taxation.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Experience working with financial data, reports and supporting documentation.

What we offer

• Salary R30,000 – R35,000 per month, depending on experience.
• 3‑month contract duration.
