Finance Procurement Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Procurement Accountant to join the finance team of one of South Africa’s leading hospitality groups. The role supports financial reporting across multiple business units, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of management information.

Key responsibilities

• Review and post general ledger transactions, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, depreciation, impairments, finance costs, management fees and lease‑related entries.
• Ensure correct VAT treatment, asset capitalization and expense allocation across entities.
• Process credit notes, recurring transactions and monitor the integrity of financial records.
• Provide accounts payable support, oversee petty‑cash processing, reconciliations and supplier payments.
• Assist operational teams with procurement‑related accounting and finance system queries.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, balance‑sheet reconciliations and support the annual financial statements.
• Perform VAT reconciliations and produce timely management reports.
• Support internal, external and compliance audits by preparing schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong accounting background with experience in financial reporting, accounts payable and management accounting.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Experience handling multi‑entity or multi‑property environments.
• Good understanding of VAT, asset capitalization and financial controls.
• Ability to collaborate with senior finance leadership and operational teams.
