Finance Manager – Personal & Business Banking (6‑month contract)

About the role

The Finance Manager will support both Personal and Business Banking divisions, overseeing the full P&L for Merchant Services and Card Transactions. The role focuses on cost efficiency, scheme cost optimisation and driving financial performance across the two banking streams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Merchant Services and Card P&L for Business and Personal Banking, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives, especially around scheme costs, penalties and operational expenditures.
• Collaborate with frontline, product and stakeholder teams to improve financial performance and develop robust business cases.
• Lead the Operational Risk committee for PBB Finance and ensure compliance with internal controls and the Quality Recon Governance Framework.
• Mentor and develop a small finance team, promoting diversity and high performance.
• Drive automation and redesign of repetitive processes to reduce manual journal entries.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA (SA) or CIMA).
• 5–7 years of finance and business experience, preferably in banking or payments.
