Finance Manager – Operations (KZN)

About the role

The Finance Manager – Operations will be accountable for reporting the financial performance of a selected business unit in KwaZulu‑Natal. You will ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of financial records in line with IFRS and Tiger Brands’ group accounting policies.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate general ledger (GL) entries and deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs, including reconciliations, management, business review, tax and audit packs.
• Review input from site cost accountants and shared services accountants for inclusion in monthly reports.
• Compile annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and weekly profit estimates, applying appropriate assumptions.
• Maintain financial systems, controls and a complete fixed‑asset register; authorize journals and approve reconciliations.
• Oversee electronic supplier payments, stock‑take procedures and insurance renewal submissions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Tiger Brands policies and governance frameworks.
• Manage departmental risk register, monitor risk mitigation and drive remediation actions.
• Support workforce planning, talent management, performance reviews and succession planning within the finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (480 credits) and a Chartered Accountant qualification (CA(SA)) – non‑negotiable.
• 5–7 years of relevant finance experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and group accounting policies.
