Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will join the finance leadership team of a well‑established industrial organisation. This senior role is ideal for a commercially minded CA(SA) who thrives in a fast‑paced operational environment and partners with the business to drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full finance function and ensure integrity of financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Drive financial planning, commercial analysis and strategic decision‑making.
• Manage statutory compliance, taxation, VAT and external audits.
• Monitor internal controls, governance and risk management processes.
• Analyse operational performance and recommend improvements to profitability and efficiency.
• Partner with operational management to support business growth and project performance.
• Manage and develop the finance team while ensuring continuous process improvement.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations, working capital, fixed assets and inventory reporting.
• Liaise with auditors, financial institutions and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification (non‑negotiable).
• Minimum 5 years post‑articles experience in a Financial Manager role.
• Proven experience in logistics, transport, construction or engineering sectors.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
• Advanced ERP systems and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
