About the role
Our client in Durban is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the financial function of their local facility. The successful candidate will be accountable for financial planning, analysis, reporting and compliance, ensuring the business meets all regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the finance department, including staff supervision.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and legal obligations.
- Develop, monitor and report on standard costing and profit plan versus actual performance.
- Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Verify and approve financial transactions across the business.
- Prepare and manage the finance department budget and support budgeting for other business units.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, preferably with a CA qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance management role.
- Proven experience in managing staff and leading a finance team.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance measurement.
