About the role
The Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme offers four interns the chance to gain professional training and practical experience within a municipal Budget and Treasury Office. The placement is governed by the Municipal Finance Management Act and aims to develop competency in municipal financial operations.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in day‑to‑day activities of the municipal Budget and Treasury Office, supporting financial planning and reporting.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with the Municipal Finance Management Act and related reforms.
Required profile
- Grade 12 plus a Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management or Auditing.
- Age between 21 and 35, computer literate, with strong communication and analytical abilities.
What we offer
- Annual stipend ranging from R90,000 to R100,000, inclusive of benefits.
- Qualification in Municipal Finance Management upon successful completion of the programme.
