Finance Data & Reconciliation Accountant

About the role

This is a 3‑month fixed‑term contract on a hybrid working pattern based in Johannesburg. The Finance Data & Reconciliation Accountant will support a global NetSuite implementation, processing large volumes of financial data, clearing backlogs and performing accurate reconciliations across multiple entities. The role reports to the Project Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers and control accounts.
• Process and validate high volumes of financial data.
• Support data ingestion, mapping and posting into NetSuite.
• Assist with data table configuration and financial data setup.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and transactional backlogs.
• Support reporting outputs and ensure data accuracy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a transactional accounting or reconciliation‑focused role.
• Strong ERP experience, ideally with NetSuite or a similar system.
• Ability to quickly understand complex ledger structures.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self‑sufficient, able to work independently under direction.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
