Finance Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Finance Clerk to join our finance team. The role involves handling daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting, supporting month‑end close activities and ensuring accurate cost and asset records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Resolve and reconcile differences within required timeframes.
• Analyse general ledger accounts for reasonability testing.
• Process month‑end journal entries and monthly journals/accuals on time.
• Identify, close or finalise open orders in collaboration with department managers.
• Ensure timely completion of asset verifications.
• Conduct monthly stock verifications and manage stationary stock.
• Perform internal control testing and support all audits.
• Assist in calculating and updating product costings.
• Undertake additional finance‑related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification is essential.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or prior work experience is advantageous.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective team player with excellent communication skills.
• Background in FMCG is beneficial.
• High level of personal and professional integrity.

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Word.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Competent use of MS Outlook.
