Finance and Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Finance and Accounting Manager to join the CFO division of an international FMCG company. The role will oversee finance projects, treasury, tax, audit and corporate governance across the holding company and its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage finance projects and drive cost‑cutting initiatives.
• Oversee all company secretarial functions and ensure corporate governance compliance.
• Lead the Treasury function, including cash‑flow management, banking relationships and regional treasury centre reporting.
• Implement and maintain GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS controls.
• Supervise monthly and division closings, meeting deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Perform tax planning and provide advice on VAT, PAYE, SDL, UIF, CIT, TP, customs and ad‑valorem taxes.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and produce related reports.
• Develop and maintain finance policies, documentation and global alignment.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA SA) or equivalent with a BCom in Accounting/Financial Management.
• 5–7 years of managerial experience in finance, preferably within an international FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation and experience dealing with SARS.
• Ability to work overtime during month‑end periods.
