Finance Administrator – Maternity Cover

About the role

The Takealot Group is seeking a Finance Administrator on a maternity‑cover contract to support its Finance Team in Cape Town. You will ensure the smooth operation of the accounts‑receivable function, processing invoices, credit notes and payments while maintaining accurate customer account records.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily customer invoices and credit notes, recording transactions accurately.
• Upload customer payments into internal systems and reconcile accounts‑receivable ageing.
• Create and maintain customer accounts, ensuring data integrity and timely collection of outstanding balances.
• Handle inter‑company recharges for vouchers and assist with month‑end voucher creation and invoicing.
• Respond to internal queries across departments and investigate customer concerns promptly.
• Perform ad‑hoc finance tasks as required by the department.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in finance administration, preferably in accounts‑receivable.
• Relevant Accounting Degree or Diploma.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Required skills

• SAGE Evolution (financial software).
• Advanced Excel skills (MS Office).
