Finance Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Accountant to manage core financial accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with IFRS. The role will support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closes, cost allocation and intercompany processes while providing audit‑ready financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Post financial transactions to the general ledger and validate cost allocations, cost centres and dimensions.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and year‑end close activities, preparing and posting journals such as accruals, provisions, payroll, FX remeasurements and reclassifications.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly balance‑sheet items, investigating and clearing reconciling differences.
• Process intercompany transactions, calculate monthly cost recharges, perform reconciliations and resolve timing, pricing and FX variances.
• Support IFRS accounting treatments (e.g., IFRS 16, fixed assets, provisions) and maintain related schedules and working papers.
• Prepare audit documentation, respond to external audit queries and support internal audit and control remediation.
• Assist with annual and quarterly budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and financial reporting.

Required profile

• BCom in Accounting or Financial Accounting and a qualified CA(SA).
• 2–5 years of experience in financial accounting, audit or a similar function.
• Strong understanding of cost allocation and intercompany accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365, AX or SAP.
