Field Sales Representative (Construction)

About the role

Prefer a building site to a desk? Here, the contractors are yours to win. Reporting to the Specifications Manager, you will spend most of your time on building sites with contractors, recommending the right product systems and turning opportunities into orders. You will manage contractor, developer and asset owner accounts, providing product recommendations and ensuring successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Contractor, developer and asset owner accounts
• Site visits, product recommendations and application advice
• Quotations, pricing and orders through to delivery
• Your sales plan, pipeline and monthly targets

Required profile

• Matric; sales or technical qualification advantageous
• Fluent English; additional South African languages advantageous
• 3 to 5 years’ technical or field sales in building, construction or hardware
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
• You build relationships on site, not just over email
• You follow every order through to a happy customer

• Solution-based selling and accurate quotations
• Building product selection and application knowledge
• Microsoft Office, especially Excel
