Field Sales Engineer – Johannesburg East

About the role

We are seeking a technical sales professional to drive aftermarket sales for a globally recognised engineering organisation that specialises in heat‑transfer, separation and fluid‑handling technologies. The role focuses on serving customers in the Sasol, petrochemical, oil & gas and heavy‑industrial markets across the East Rand area.

Key responsibilities

• Promote spare parts, service offerings, upgrades and maintenance contracts within assigned territories.
• Manage key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities and increase market share.
• Support customers through the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract closure.
• Collaborate closely with technical and service teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and ensure exceptional customer service while expanding the installed base.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Proven sales experience in industrial equipment, fluid handling, pumps, valves, heat‑transfer or related sectors.
• Experience selling spare parts, service contracts, maintenance solutions or aftermarket products.
• Exposure to mining, power generation, steel, paper, water‑treatment, manufacturing or other process industries.
• Strong customer‑relationship management, business‑development and forecasting abilities.
