Field Sales Account Executive

About the role

As a Field Sales Account Executive you will be the face of Yoco in your territory, meeting merchants in person, understanding their operations and showing how Yoco’s payment solutions can make their businesses faster, simpler and smarter. This is a field‑based new‑business development role that combines consultative selling with genuine curiosity about people and their businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Hunt, qualify and close new merchant opportunities within your assigned territory.
• Prospect your own pipeline through outbound outreach, referrals and partnerships.
• Run discovery conversations to uncover operational pain points.
• Design and propose tailored solutions that fit each business.
• Build trusted relationships with owners, operations leads and decision‑makers.
• Deliver confident product demos and ensure first‑time‑right activations.
• Maintain a clean CRM, accurate forecasts and an honest pipeline.
• Hand over successful activations to the onboarding team.
• Provide market and competitor intelligence to the broader team.

Required profile

• Experience as a general manager, floor manager or store manager in restaurants, bars, coffee shops, salons, beauty studios or independent retail.
• Comfortable working in a target‑driven environment and managing a pipeline of opportunities.
• Strong curiosity about business operations and the ability to translate that into sales conversations.
• Willingness to transition from a non‑sales background; having been a customer of payment solutions is a plus.
