Fibre Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Fibre Technician to join our fast‑growing engineering team in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. You will work on high‑end facilities, installing and commissioning fibre optic cables while ensuring optimal network performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission fibre optic and other cable systems in industrial and building‑management environments.
• Test fibre cables to verify signal integrity and compliance with standards.
• Continuously improve and optimise installation processes.
• Collaborate with all departments to maximise system uptime.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and monitoring throughout all activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with industrial electrical systems or building‑management systems.
• Red Seal Electrician qualification or a valid Wireman’s licence (3‑phase).
• South African residency or a work permit that allows employment in South Africa.
