Farm Manager – Grape & Citrus Production

About the role

The Farm Manager will lead the full production cycle for 300 acres of table grapes and 300 acres of citrus. Reporting to the Board, you will ensure optimal crop performance, quality compliance, and seamless coordination with packing and export teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual horticultural programs for grapes and citrus, covering irrigation, nutrition, pest‑disease control, pruning, canopy management, thinning and harvest timing.
• Recruit, train, roster and supervise permanent, seasonal and contract labour, ensuring productivity, QA adherence and WHS compliance.
• Oversee maintenance of tractors, harvest aids, sprayers, forklifts, irrigation pumps and related infrastructure, keeping trellis systems and storage facilities in optimal condition.
• Maintain HACCP, GlobalG.A.P., HARPS and Fair Farms compliance, guaranteeing full traceability from paddock to packhouse.
• Prepare and manage the annual farm budget, track expenditures, report variances and provide production forecasts to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years managing large‑scale commercial fruit operations, preferably grapes and citrus.
• Strong agronomic knowledge of viticulture and citrus production.
• Proven leadership of large seasonal teams and experience with modern horticultural machinery.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
