Factory Manager

About the role

Citra is a fast‑growing, vertically integrated housing company operating in Cape Town and internationally. As the Factory Manager you will lead the end‑to‑end manufacturing of high‑performance composite panels, overseeing CNC cutting, concrete casting and final assembly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily factory operations, meet production targets on time and within budget while applying Lean principles.
• Oversee calibration, operation and maintenance of CNC machinery and concrete processing equipment, troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Manage a multidisciplinary workforce of foremen, technicians, engineers and operators, identifying skill gaps and coordinating training.
• Maintain rigorous quality and safety standards for EPS density, concrete strength and assembly tolerances, conducting regular audits.
• Control inventory of raw materials (EPS, cement, additives, steel) and coordinate procurement to avoid bottlenecks.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

Required skills

• CNC programming and operation.
• Knowledge of concrete casting and curing processes.
• Experience with composite material assembly.
