Facility Manager – Strategic Facilities Maintenance

About the role

Our client, a leading property development and management group, is seeking a Facility Manager to oversee strategic facilities maintenance across commercial, residential, industrial and student accommodation assets. The role reports to the Property Manager and collaborates closely with senior executives to ensure operational excellence and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site Maintenance Managers and Handymen, providing daily supervision and reporting.
• Report daily operational issues to the Property Manager and deliver weekly/monthly performance reports to the Property Executive and Financial Director.
• Develop and continuously improve a Strategic Facilities Maintenance Plan.
• Compile the monthly Operations Report for shareholder inclusion.
• Attend Asset Management meetings to discuss day‑to‑day operations and major issues.
• Liaise with internal and external parties on maintenance, renovation and construction projects throughout the year.
• Accountable for CAPEX and OPEX budgets related to maintenance, renovations and construction.
• Negotiate and manage SLAs with Soft Services and Hard Services suppliers, ensuring KPI achievement.
• Plan and supervise all required maintenance, including the annual Maintenance Schedule, within budget.
• Remain available to work overtime when required.

Required profile

• Experience managing maintenance teams and coordinating on‑site activities.
• Ability to prepare and present detailed operational and financial reports.
• Strong liaison skills with internal architects, development teams and external consultants.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Responsibility for budgetary control of CAPEX and OPEX.
