Facilities Shift Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Facilities Shift Coordinator to join ADfusion Contract Management Services and ensure our supply‑chain operations run safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. The coordinator will be responsible for all maintenance activities within the distribution centre (DC) and for managing on‑site contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Report and arrange repair of damaged racking, sprinklers, floor rails, doors, dock levelers, lighting and signage.
• Manage painting of lines, service manholes and other ad‑hoc improvements within the DC/RC.
• Conduct inspections of valve chambers, pressure settings, diesel pumps, ventilation, grey‑water plant, gas monitoring system and generators.
• Issue purchase orders, obtain quotes, follow up invoices and ensure payment processing for maintenance services.
• Maintain and schedule the cherry‑picker machine as required.
• Build and maintain relationships with client representatives, attend inspections and meetings, and communicate client needs to the Operations Manager.
• Oversee contractor activities on site and coordinate landscaping and storm‑water grid repairs.
• Perform yard repairs such as armco barriers, paving, fencing and curbs.

Required profile

• Warehouse or facilities experience (essential).
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong numeric and verbal reasoning abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to plan and organise work.
• Stress tolerance and resilience.
• Minimum Grade 12 or NQF4 qualification.
