Facilities Manager

About the role

Redial BPO is looking for a proactive, hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety and efficiency of its work environment. The role suits someone with strong facilities management experience who can handle minor repairs themselves rather than outsourcing to vendors. The location is Constantia Office Park, Weltevredenpark, Roodepoort, and the schedule is a rotational 8-hour shift between 9:00am and 01:00am.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance and general upkeep of the facility, including office space, common areas and equipment.
• Perform minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, general maintenance) to reduce downtime and external costs.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through regular inspections and audits.
• Manage vendor relationships for larger maintenance projects, cleaning, security and other outsourced services.
• Monitor and control facilities budgets and expenses, and maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Respond promptly to facility emergencies and conduct risk assessments and safety measures.
• Work with HR and Operations teams and recommend facility improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance or a similar role (preferably 3-5 years).
• Ability to perform basic repairs such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry.
• Experience managing vendors and negotiating contracts.
• Knowledge of building systems, fire safety and security protocols is a plus.
• Schedule flexibility on weekends; 9-hour shift mentioned in the requirements.
