Facilities and Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Facilities and Maintenance Technician ensures the safe, reliable and efficient operation of site facilities, infrastructure, production equipment, utilities and warehouse assets. The role supports business operations by planning, coordinating and executing maintenance activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing contractors and driving continuous improvement to maximise asset reliability and minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, warehouse equipment, facilities, utilities and infrastructure
• Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime and conduct routine inspections
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and support asset registers, maintenance strategies and equipment failure reporting
• Coordinate statutory inspections, regulatory compliance and contractor management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and company standards, including LOTO procedures
• Conduct root cause analysis and maintain maintenance records, compliance documentation, asset registers and spare parts inventory
• Support fire system inspections, EHS programmes, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in site projects and equipment installations, and act as a secondary Laser Operator when needed

Required profile

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehousing or industrial environment
• Basic Electrical Safety Certification and knowledge of health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance
• PLC fundamentals and industrial automation training
• Preferred: Red Seal Electrician or Millwright qualification, experience with CMMS, and a Department of Labour Wireman's Licence
