External Sales Representative – Welding Machines & Consumables

About the role

As an External Sales Representative you will be based in Cape Town and focus on the engineering, welding and mining sectors. You will promote and sell welding machines, consumables and gas‑cutting equipment to a diverse client base, providing technical advice and tailored quotations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers in the engineering, welding and mining industries.
• Present product demonstrations, prepare quotations and advise clients on the best solutions.
• Process client invoicing and manage stock availability.
• Maintain and grow existing accounts while ensuring regular follow‑up.
• Provide administrative support related to sales activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling welding machines, consumables or related industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of the engineering, welding and mining markets.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
• Ability to work independently and manage a territory.

Required skills

• Sales of welding machines and consumables.
• Knowledge of gas‑cutting equipment.
