External Sales Representative – Automotive Aftermarket (Gauteng)

About the role

A leading supplier within the automotive aftermarket industry is seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales Representative to join its Eastern Cape team. The company is recognised for providing high‑quality automotive products and solutions to a broad customer base while maintaining a strong reputation for service excellence, innovation, and long‑term customer partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to expand market share and grow customer accounts.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for new and existing customers while maintaining profitability.
• Drive utilisation of electronic B2B catalogues and digital ordering platforms.
• Act as a brand ambassador through customer visits, product demonstrations, training sessions and marketing events.
• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activity and new business opportunities.
• Capture and maintain accurate customer and market information within the CRM system.
• Educate customers on product offerings, benefits and applications to improve market penetration.

Required profile

• Grade 12 plus a Certificate in Sales and Marketing Management.
• Minimum three years’ sales experience within the automotive industry.
• Experience coordinating marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Sound knowledge of the Consumer Protection Act and relevant legislation.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint.
• Experience using a CRM system.
