External Sales Representative - Abrasives Industry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced External Sales Representative to grow our presence in the abrasives market. The role focuses on generating new business, nurturing distributor relationships, and promoting our abrasive product range across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and end‑customers.
• Promote and sell abrasive products within the designated area.
• Conduct regular visits to customers and distributors.
• Generate and manage sales leads, maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and provide market intelligence.
• Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth sales operations.
• Support customer retention and long‑term business growth.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.
• 2–3 years of external sales experience in the abrasives industry.
• Proven track record selling abrasive products to distributors.
• Experience managing distributor relationships.
• Willingness to travel within the territory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using CRM systems.
